Golf is my life. One thing I know for sure is my passion for the game shines through when coaching and competing. It is my favorite thing to do on this earth besides spending time with my family.
— Mike Midgette

In the beginning, I started playing golf when I was just 16 years old. Before that, I grew up playing Ice Hockey on Long Island. I attended the 2002 US Open at Bethpage Black with my Dad, went to the driving range after that just down the street, and the rest is history. I instantly fell in love with the game. The challenge of the game, paired with my drive and discipline that was instilled in me as a highly competitive hockey player pushed me to get better every day.

My Passion for the Game will not go unnoticed if you spend even just a half hour with me. After starting golf, going on to play junior tournaments on Long Island, and then vacationing to places like Myrtle Beach & Hilton Head Island, it was hard not be around golf. Long story short, I attended a golf camp in Hilton Head, which ended up being where I finished my junior and senior year of High School at the International Junior Golf Academy. I went on from there to complete my Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management & earn my Class A PGA Membership in 2011 from Coastal Carolina University in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Junior Golf is always something I’ve had strong ties to. I went away to golf school as a junior, competed in junior golf tournaments nationwide, ran the junior tour for the Met Section of the PGA for internships, and continued managing all Junior Instruction programs & camps at almost every facility during my PGA Professional Career. I have also volunteered to teach a few clinics at the First Tee of the Palm Beaches as well.

My Goals & Dreams consisted of competing on the PGA Tour. Although somewhat close, having made it through a few stages of Q School in the past, that life just became too expensive and cumbersome. I have since moved to South Florida full - time with my wife Kristen, and now our two sons, Brayden (3) & Greyson (1). I now dream to have my own Golf Academy one day and still compete at a high level in our amazing South Florida Section.
